I- Job Description
VINKA is seeking a meticulous and organized Accountant – Tax Specialist to join its
team. You will be responsible for maintaining general and analytical accounting records, producing
reliable financial statements, monitoring tax and social security obligations, and contributing to the profitability of engagements, in compliance with accounting standards (SYSCOHADA) and internal procedures. II- Job Description
The Accountant – Tax Specialist will be required to: • Maintain general and analytical accounting records by recording and verifying entries (purchases, sales, bank transactions, cash). • Update accounting journals and reconcile third-party accounts. • Perform bank reconciliations and participate in month-end and year-end closing procedures . • Prepare and record customer invoices, monitor cash receipts, and follow up with overdue customers. • Review and enter supplier invoices, develop payment schedules, and propose a payment plan. • Monitor cash flow and forecast financial flows. • Prepare tax and social security declarations, file and archive supporting documents. • Implement cost accounting by project/client and provide cost and margin tracking reports. • Produce financial dashboards and comply with internal accounting procedures. • Prepare files for external audits and propose improvements to secure financial flows. • Perform any additional tasks assigned by management.
III- Job Requirements:
• Good command of general and cost accounting (SYSCOHADA). • Knowledge of tax and social security obligations. • Knowledge of tax returns. • Proficiency in computer tools (advanced Excel, accounting software such as Sage or Odoo). • Rigor, attention to detail, confidentiality, organization, and respect for deadlines. • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with non-financial profiles.
IV- Candidate Profile
• Graduate with a Bachelor’s degree (Bac+3, 4, or 5) in Accounting, Finance, Management, or any other similar field.
• Experienced professional currently holding a similar position in Finance Management.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in general/analytical accounting. Experience in an
audit or accounting firm is an asset.
• Knowledge of multi-project/multi-client environments is appreciated.
