GIZ and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) jointly implemented the PESoP project (“Promoting Economic and Social Participation of Internally Displaced Persons and Host Population Communities”), with financial support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Decentralization and Local Development (MINDDEVEL), the PESoP Project covers 5 partner municipalities in the West Region of Cameroon (Bafoussam I, Dschang, Foumban, Kouoptamo, Mbouda) and includes four main components: economic participation, social participation, gender-based violence and socio-economic profiling.
Component 3 of the project, which focuses on the socio-economic profiling of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and host communities, mainly aims to produce quality data for targeted and optimal interventions by the Government, municipalities, and partners, in favor of these population categories. As part of the said collection, the Central Bureau of Censuses and Population Studies (BUCREP) was selected to carry out the activities of collecting and analyzing the said data. With this in mind, BUCREP is recruiting eighty-five field agents (seventy (70) investigators and fifteen (15) team leaders) for the socio-economic profiling of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and host communities in the five municipalities mentioned above. Type of contract: Fixed-term contract (CDD). Contract duration: 01 month. Work areas: five municipalities are concerned by the survey: Foumban, Dschang, Kouoptamo, Mbouda, and Bafoussam I. Team leaders are responsible for monitoring and controlling data collection in the field by checking the quality of interviews and providing the necessary support to enumerators. Working languages:
official languages (French and English), Pidjin and the main local languages of the five communes.
Candidate profile:
be of Cameroonian nationality, hold at least a baccalaureate or any other equivalent diploma; be aged between 18 and 39 as of December 31, 2024; have a good ability to work in a team and in the field, be fully available for the duration of the survey; be able to express themselves in one of the official languages, in Pidjin, and in the dominant local language of the chosen working commune; be a resident of the chosen working commune; have proven experience in conducting surveys on electronic tablets/Smartphones; be fully available for the months of November and December 2024.

The pre-selected candidates will be trained in one of the 05 municipalities concerned by the survey (Foumban.
