Job Title: Finance & Accounting Intern
Location: Yaoundé, Cameroon
Internship Duration: Six (06) months

1) Context:
Noé is a non-profit, public-interest nature conservation association
founded in 2001. It implements biodiversity conservation actions in France and internationally
for the benefit of all living species, including humankind. To this end, Noé implements programs for the conservation of endangered species, the
management of protected natural areas, the restoration of common biodiversity and natural habitats, the reconnection of humans with nature, and support for
economic activities and civil society organizations that promote biodiversity.
Within its international activities, Noé is organized into three complementary missions:
endangered species, protected areas, and pro-biodiversity sectors. Through these three missions,
Noé’s objective is to contribute to biodiversity conservation by i) the
sustainable management of ecosystems and their resources by and for the benefit of local communities, and
by ii) the structuring of decentralized protected areas that put local
populations at the heart of territorial issues and thus better protect certain
key species. Noé has been working in Cameroon since 2012 and supports the development of value chains
around various protected areas, in partnership with Cameroonian NGOs. Noé
also works in Cameroon on the periphery of privately managed protected areas
(hunting areas) to improve the mechanisms for the redistribution and
management of wildlife and natural resources, for the benefit of biodiversity and
local communities.
In this context, Noé is seeking an intern to be based in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
2) Functions and responsibilities
: Support the entry and filing of accounting documents;
Participate in the preparation of payments and the monitoring of expenses;
• Contribute to bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring;
• Participate in the preparation of financial reports and budget monitoring statements;
• Ensure the physical and electronic archiving of financial documents;
• Support the monitoring of purchasing procedures and contracts;
• Participate in accounting closing procedures;
• Participate in the preparation of internal and external audit files;
• Support the collection, control, and organization of supporting documents required during
audits;
• Contribute to the follow-up of audit recommendations and corrective actions;
• Participate in compliance checks of accounting and administrative documents;
• Any other task requested by the manager.
3) Desired Profile and Required Skills
Education
• Holder of a BTS, DUT, or equivalent diploma in Accounting, Finance, Auditing,
Management Control, or a related field;
• The most recent academic diploma obtained must be no more than 18 months old.
Experience
• Practical experience as an intern of six (6) months to one (1) year in auditing,
accounting, and finance would be an asset;
• Experience acquired within an NGO, an accounting firm, or an auditing firm is an
asset.
Required Skills
• Good knowledge of accounting, finance, and auditing principles;
• Knowledge of internal control and document verification techniques;
• Ability to analyze and reconcile financial data; • Good understanding of compliance requirements and administrative and financial
procedures ; • Good adaptability and ability to learn quickly in a dynamic work environment; • Ability to quickly learn new procedures, tools, and responsibilities; • Proficiency in office software, particularly Excel; • Analytical skills, rigor, and attention to detail; • Ability to identify inconsistencies and propose appropriate solutions; • Discretion, integrity, and respect for confidentiality; • Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously ; • Good written and interpersonal communication skills; • Availability from July 1, 2026. 4) Application Process Interested candidates are invited to submit an application package in French by email, including: ● a cover letter; ● A curriculum vitae demonstrating qualifications and experience relevant to the mission and including three professional references.
