Key Responsibilities:
· Plan, design, and oversee the construction and development of iron ore mining projects.
· Conduct geological surveys and feasibility studies to determine the viability of new mining sites.
· Develop and implement mining plans, schedules, and budgets to optimize resource extraction.
· Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards throughout all mining activities.
· Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geologists, environmental scientists, and project managers, to ensure successful project execution.
· Monitor and evaluate mining operations to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
· Utilize advanced mining software and technologies to enhance operational performance.
· Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and mining staff.
· Prepare detailed reports and presentations on mining activities, project progress, and resource management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in iron ore mining, with a proven track record of successful project management and operational excellence.
- In-depth knowledge of mining equipment, technology, and methodologies specific to iron ore mining.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency in mining software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and ethical mining practices.
