Responsibilities:
Working with and under the supervision of a registered nurse, the healthcare assistant provides various types of care to patients and addresses their healthcare needs.
β’ Welcoming, informing, and settling patientsβ¦
β’ Assessing patients’ clinical condition, observing and measuring key health parameters.
β’ Assisting the registered nurse in providing appropriate and varied care.
β’ Maintaining the immediate environment of patients and making beds.
β’ Maintaining medical equipment.
β’ Assisting with the management of the small pharmacy.
β’ Communicating observations orally and in writing to ensure continuity of care.
β’ Welcoming and mentoring trainees when necessary.
Profiles:
β’ Nursing Assistant Diploma
β’ Years of Experience: 0-3 years
Required Skills:
β’ Excellent interpersonal, listening, and empathetic skills.
β’ Personal Qualities: High moral character, self-motivated, versatile, and meticulous.
β’ Discretion and restraint.
β’ Knowledge of social media and computer skills is desirable.
Note 1: Must reside in the YaoundΓ© II β SOA area (Nkolfoulou, Ngousso, Eleveur, etc.) and/or be willing to be housed on-site during the week (Monday to Friday).
