RADIO-PRESS RELEASE
THE MINISTER DELEGATED TO THE PRESIDENCY IN CHARGE OF DEFENSE ANNOUNCED:

It is brought to the attention of young Cameroonians of both sexes, wishing to pursue a career in the Defense Forces, that a

pre-selection test for admission to the American Military Academies will be held in Yaoundé,

single examination center.

A – CONDITIONS TO BE MET
  Be of Cameroonian nationality; be at least 17 years old and at most 23 years old on 01/07/2025 • be single without dependent child (ren); enjoy civil rights; be recognized as fit by a military doctor; have perfect command of the English language (read, write and speak); hold a scientific baccalaureate or a GCE / AL with at least two scientific subjects (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry).

B – COMPOSITION OF THE APPLICATION FILE
  01 A4 envelope stamped at 1500 CFA francs, bearing the following handwritten information: name and first names, date and place of birth, diploma, telephone number and email;
  01 handwritten request stamped at 1500 CFA francs addressed to the Minister Delegate to the Presidency in Charge of Defense;
  01 certified photocopy of the birth certificate;
  01 certified photocopy of the baccalaureate or GCE/AL; 01 extract from the criminal record bulletin NO. 3, dated less than 03 months issued by a competent authority (magistrate) • 01 blank cardboard folder;
  01 curriculum vitae;
  01 certificate of celibacy;
  01 information sheet to be collected from the Human Resources Department when submitting the application.
Candidates will pay a sum of 20,000 CFA francs (twenty thousand CFA francs) against receipt, to the Human Resources Department of the Ministry of Defense, representing the competition fees.

C – WRITTEN PRESELECTION TESTS
They will take place only in English on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the Lycée Général Leclerc in Yaoundé from 7 a.m. Candidates will write exclusively in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

D – SELECTION TESTS
They will take place at the Embassy of the United States of America in Yaoundé from November 21, 2024 and will only concern pre-selected candidates. They will have to first pass the medical aptitude examinations as well as the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) exams at their own expense.

To take the SAT exam, applicants must first register at:
https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat/register/international.

Complete application files are expected at the Human Resources Department of the Ministry of Defense no later than Thursday, October 31, 2024 at 3:30 p.m.

PRESS RELEASE
THE MINISTER DELEGATE AT THE PRESIDENCY IN CHARGE OF DEFENSE HEREBY INFORMS:
Young Cameroonians, both male and female, who wish to pursue a career in the Defense Forces, that a pre-selection test for admission to the American Military Academies shall be organized in Yaounde.
A – CONDITIONS TO BE FULFILLED
  Be of Cameroonian nationality;
  Be at least 17 years old and not more than 23 years old on 01/07/2025;
> Be sing!e and have no children in their care;
  Enjoy their civic rights;
  Be certified fit by a military medical doctor;
  Have a perfect command of the English language (reading, writing and speaking);
  Hold a Science Baccalauréat or GCE/AL with a pass in at least two subjects (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry).
B – COMPOSITION OF THE APPLICATION FILE
  An A4 envelope bearing a 1,500 CFA francs fiscal stamp and the following handwritten information: first name and surname, date and place of birth, diploma, contact number and e-mail address;
> A handwritten application bearing a 1,500 CFA francs fiscal stamp, addressed to the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defense;
  A certified true copy of the birth certificate;
  A certified true copy of the GCE A/L or Baccalauréat certificate;
> A certificate of non-conviction issued by a competent authority
(magistrate) not more than 03 months ago;
  A cardboard folder;
  A curriculum vitae;
  A certificate of celibacy;
  An information sheet to be obtained from the Department of Human Resources at the time of submission of the file.
Candidates shall pay a sum of 20,000 (twenty thousand) CFA francs against a receipt, representing the examination fees, to the Department of Human Resources of the Ministry of Defense.
C – WRITTEN TESTS
These shall be written exclusively in English on Saturday, 02 November 2024 at the General Leclerc High School (Lycée Généra/ Leclerc), Yaounde at 7 am Candidates shall write only in the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
D – TESTS SELECTION
The selection tests shall take place at the US Embassy in Yaoundé from 21 November 2024 and shall involve only pre-selected candidates who must have undergone, at their own expense, medical fitness tests and the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
To sit the SAT exam, candidates shall be required to register using the online address: https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat/register/international.
Compiete application files shall be submitted to the Department of Human Resources of the Ministry of Defense not later than 3:30 pm on Thursday, 31 October 2024.
