In order to strengthen its workforce, LE PELERIN SA, a second category microfinance institution headquartered in Yaoundé, is seeking external candidates for its services, such as Client Managers / Commitment Managers.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Identify customer needs and provide solutions; Manage and develop a client portfolio, both for loans and deposits; Prospect for clients, analyze the feasibility and profitability of their projects, and ensure the timely repayment of loans granted; Conduct regular field visits, maintain a relationship of trust, and monitor the progress of client activities to prevent any risk of default; Ensure customer satisfaction; Review and finalize account openings; Participate in the amicable recovery of overdue debts; Contribute to all other related tasks within the branch
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Technical Skills: Excellent command of the institution’s products and underwriting procedures; in-depth knowledge of loan granting and recovery procedures; sales and negotiation skills: ability to handle objections and close deals; proficiency in office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and comfortable using loan portfolio management, litigation tracking, and reporting tools
Behavioral: Rigor, strong sense of organization and strict adherence to deadlines and procedures. Strong negotiation, persuasion and conflict management skills, while preserving client relationships. Stress resistance, availability and ability to work under pressure on a large volume of files. Integrity, confidentiality, sense of ethics and loyalty to the institution. Analytical and synthesis skills, ability to work in a multidisciplinary team (credit, sales, risk, general management).
PROFILE: Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree (BAC+3) in Banking and Finance, Management, Marketing, Sales, Economics, Law, or any equivalent field. Have at least one year of experience in a similar role. Possess a good understanding of the banking or microfinance environment. Be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and other management software. Be ethical and possess strong values.

WORK LOCATION: Yaoundé or Douala with the possibility of transfer or stay throughout the LE PELERIN SA network, depending on the institution’s needs
