ACTIVITIES OF THE POST
Main mission : Ensure compliance and management of the company’s legal risks vis-à-vis stakeholders.
– compliance with local and international regulations, and management of legal risks ;
– Develop, analyze and validate contracts, commercial agreements, conventions and other legal documents ;
– Develop a legal risk management plan;
– Ensure compliance with legal risks;
– Initiate procedures for the recovery of disputed debts and unpaid rental payments;
– Ensure continuous monitoring of legislative and regulatory developments relevant to the company ;
– Support the company in conflict management, by intervening directly or by coordinating actions with external lawyers ;
– Train internal teams on legal issues and best practices in legal compliance;
– Ensure communication with legal authorities to ensure compliance with applicable laws ;
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
REQUIRED SKILLS
Academic level: BACC +5 in Law (Business Law, Corporate Law, etc.)
Professional experience: Three (03) years minimum in a similar role.
Knowledge of:
· Business law;
· Contract law;
· Competition law;
· Intellectual property law;
· Data protection;
· GDPR compliance.
Know-how
– Draft complex legal documents;
– Identify, analyze and manage legal risks;
– Manage disputes and negotiate agreements;
– Adapt the legal strategy according to the Cameroonian legislative and commercial context;
– Read, write and speak English and French.
