Position: Logistics Manager
SAFVIS is a leading African company specializing in the production and marketing of wines, spirits, and juices “Made in Cameroon.” As part of its team expansion, the company is seeking a talented and passionate Logistics Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Under the supervision of General Management, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for managing and coordinating the company’s logistics activities, with the aim of optimizing the flow of goods, ensuring customer satisfaction, and respecting deadlines and costs.
Key responsibilities include:
– Manage logistics, transportation, and distribution operations.
– Manage inventory and ensure its regular updating, including stocktaking and monitoring inbound/outbound movements.
– Coordinate the shipment, receipt, and delivery of goods.
– Negotiate and monitor contracts with logistics providers, including carriers, suppliers, freight forwarders, and insurance providers.
– Manage and maintain the vehicle fleet and logistics equipment.
– Supervise and manage the logistics team.
– Prepare periodic activity reports and propose areas for improvement.
– Ensure compliance with safety standards and internal procedures.
REQUIRED PROFILE
The ideal candidate should:
– Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree (Bac+3) in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, Business, or an equivalent field.
– Have at least three (3) years of professional experience in a similar position.
– Be proficient in inventory and supply chain management tools.
– Possess strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
– Demonstrate a high sense of responsibility and rigor.
– Be able to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
– Have good computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, and management software.
