CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
I. Context and Justification
As part of the implementation of its Growth and Employment strategy, the Government of Cameroon is improving its social safety net system through the Social Safety Nets project, with the financial and technical support from the World Bank.
To this end, the Adaptive Social Safety Nets and Economic Inclusion Project (PFS-AIE) and the
National Institute of Statistics (INS) signed the partnership memorandum of understanding N0001/2024/MINEPAT/CTS/PFS-AIE /UGP for carrying out the Survey on
Living Conditions for the choice of households benefiting from Social Transfers (CVTS) in the municipalities benefiting from Ordinary Monetary Transfers of cycle 7 financed by the IDA.
As part of the implementation of this agreement, the Director General of the National Institute of Statistics is launching a call for applications for the pre-selection of 164 cartographers/enumerators and 543 investigators, for a fixed-term contract:
II. Job description:
11.1 CVTS-cycle 7 mapping/enumerator agents.
11.1.1 Purpose of the contract: the Agent will be responsible for carrying out, using tablets, mapping and enumeration operations in municipalities and villages /districts which will be assigned to him.
11.1.2 Candidate profile be of Cameroonian nationality, male or female, enjoying good physical health; be at least 21 years old and at most 45 years old on the date of signing the call for applications, hold at least a baccalaureate or any other equivalent diploma; be free from any commitment; be prepared to serve in all parts of the country, both urban and rural, in at least one of the major local languages of the country; have a good ability to work in a team and in the field; have proven experience in computerized data collection with the INS (preferably having participated in at least one PMT/CVTS survey) as well as knowledge of cartography would be an asset;
be fully available for the duration of the contract.
11.1.3 Working language: speak at least one of the official languages, and at least one national language spoken in the survey locations.
11.1.4 Duration of the contract: 17 days.

11.2 Investigative agents of CVTS-cycle 7.
11.2.1 Purpose of the contract: the Agent will be responsible for collecting the data, using tablets, from sample households in the cities/villages/neighborhoods assigned to it.
11.2.2 Candidate profile be of Cameroonian nationality, male or female, enjoying good physical health; be at least 21 years old and at most 45 years old on the date of signing the call for applications, hold at least a baccalaureate or any other equivalent diploma; be free from any commitment; be prepared to serve in all parts of the country, both urban and rural, in at least one of the major local languages of the country; have a good ability to work in a team and in the field; having proven experience in computerized data collection with the INS (preferably having had to participate in at least one PMT/CVTS survey) would be an asset; be fully available for the duration of the contract.
11.2.3 Working language: speak at least one of the official languages, and at least one national language spoken in the survey locations.
11.2.4 Duration of the contract: 20 days.

111. TO APPLY:
Each application must mention the job title and the chosen region of investigation, under penalty of inadmissibility.
Application files (stamped job application indicating the job position requested as well as the chosen region of investigation + CV + Certified copies of the required diplomas + Certified copy of the CNI + medical certificate + information sheet to be collected from the services of the ‘INS+ any document capable of proving experience in mapping and surveys) must be submitted, against discharge, no later than 10 working days from the date of signature of this call for applications (no later than January 29 2024) in the Mail and Liaison Service and in the Regional Agencies of the INS in the regions concerned by the project.
