2. Main Mission
Install, configure, commission, and maintain the network and telecom infrastructures deployed by SERVITEL at its clients’ sites (businesses, telecom operators, banks, industrial and institutional sites): WAN links, network security, radio transmission, Wi-Fi, and associated server services. The contractor guarantees the quality, reliability, and availability of the delivered solutions, in accordance with best practices and service level agreements.
3. Responsibilities and activities
• Install and configure WAN routers, LAN switches, NGN/UTM firewalls and network security equipment
• Deploy and align radio bridge (PtP/PtMP) and microwave transmission links
• Set up and administer Wi-Fi networks: controllers, access points, captive portals
• Install and configure network servers and services: Active Directory, RADIUS, DHCP, DNS, VPN
• Perform structured cabling (copper/fiber), installation, fiber optic splicing, and acceptance testing.
• Perform commissioning tests, technical acceptance testing, and documentation of installations
• Provide preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnostics and troubleshooting on site
• Write up intervention reports and technical reports
• Respect safety instructions (working at heights, electrical hazards) and maintain good customer relations on site
4. Academic Profile
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (Bac+3) : Bachelor’s degree in Networks & Telecommunications, Networks & Communication, or Telecommunications Engineering
• Recognized and valued telecommunications programs: SUP’PTIC, ENSPT, IUT of Douala, IUT Fotso Victor of Bandjoun (telecom/networks departments)
• Valued certifications: CCNA, MikroTik (MTCNA/MTCRE), Fortinet NSE, fiber optic certifications
5. Profile and professional experience
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of successful field experience in installing communication solutions
• Proven experience with: WAN routers, NGN/UTM firewalls, LAN switches, radio bridges, Wi-Fi controllers, and access points
• Experience with Active Directory and RADIUS servers (and DHCP/DNS/VPN services)
• Strong field-oriented profile : autonomy on site and ability to deliver complete installations in real-world conditions
