Credit Africa Invest SA, abbreviated to “CREA INVEST”, is a 2nd Category microfinance that became fully operational in 2018 under the new COBAC regulations. As part of strengthening its workforce, CREA INVEST is recruiting a Collection Officer for the city of Douala.
Missions / Job description: Reporting to the Head of Credit & Risk, you will be mainly responsible for the following activities within: Prepare summary statements on outstanding commitments Assess the situation of customers in arrears Analyze repayment deadlines and litigation risks Carry out field visits and negotiate amicable recovery (deferred or staggered payment with payment schedule) with customers in arrears Define, implement and monitor recovery operations Determine legal recovery procedures: payment order, interim relief, summons, provisional seizure, precautionary seizure Monitor the collection of receivables and participate in the reconciliation of accounts Ensure the transfer of skills and the sharing of good practices in recovery Ensure that recovery procedures are respected Ensure the regular updating of recovery procedures for unpaid receivables according to changes in the legal or regulatory framework
Required profile: BAC+3/4 minimum in private law/business law/litigation and arbitration business or any equivalent diploma A minimum proven professional experience of at least 02 years in debt collection is desirable as well as knowledge of the OHADA Uniform Act, COBAC regulations, CEMAC regulations Proven experience in a law firm/bailiff’s office would be an asset Master the drafting of documents with legal implications and procedural acts Master the computer tool Good command of French and a good knowledge of the English language Reside in the city of Douala Be mobile (frequent travel to the cities of Yaoundé, Douala, Buea, etc.) Be of Cameroonian nationality Immediate availability
