Reporting to the Group Chief Accountant, the Chief Accountant is responsible for:
β’ Ensuring financial security and continuous improvement of financial processes in compliance with company procedures;
β’ Guaranteeing the accuracy and reliability of the company’s accounts in accordance with OHADA uniform act and revised SYSCOHADA provisions, as well as applicable social and tax legislations in Cameroon;
β’ Producing monthly and annual financial statements; β’ As head of service, leading, supervising, and motivating a team of accountants MAIN ACTIVITIES: General Accounting β’ Control, validate, and update purchase invoices in the commercial software; β’ Supervise, control, validate, and post accounting entries from accountants into the accounting system; β’ Ensure payroll entries are correctly recorded or transferred from payroll accounting; Review regional auxiliary journals and ensure supporting documents are submitted to headquarters; Prepare accounting allocation vouchers, submit them for approval, and transfer them for entry; β’ Ensure proper accounting of fixed asset entries; β’ Monitoring commissioning and decommissioning of fixed assets; Ensure proper archiving of accounting records less than 10 years old; β’ Implement audit and internal control recommendations; β’ Update intercompany accounts after reconciliation; β’ Supervises weekly cash reconciliations and monitor outstanding items; Auxiliary Accounting Clients β’ Ensure proper tax updates for clients; β’ Ensure correct tax rate settings on client accounts; β’ Monitor invoicing and client payments; β’ Ensure posting of adjustment entries for client accounts; β’ Ensure client account reconciliation. Suppliers β’ Ensure proper tax updates for suppliers; β’ Ensure posting of allocation vouchers and expense reports for supplier account adjustments; β’ Produce the supplier aging balance; β’ Supervises supplier balance confirmations; β’ Control and validate payment runs before execution; β’ Ensure supplier account reconciliation. Analytical Accounting β’ Participate in defining analytical accounting parameters suitable for the activity and useful for managers and operations; β’ Ensure proper allocation of costs and revenues; β’ Determine average cost of goods sold and gross margin; Reconcile general accounting and analytical accounting results; β’ Participate in budget preparation. β’ Relations with Auditors β’ Define audit schedule with statutory auditors;

β’ Justify main year-end adjustments. TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Financial and accounting analysis
β’ Knowledge of local taxation
β’ Cost calculation
β’ Mastery of OHADA accounting standards and IFRS norms
Proficiency with Office Suite, SAP, Sage Saari, and other accounting software
PROFILE:
β’ Education: Master’s degree (Bac+4/5) in Accounting
β’ Experience: Minimum 3 years in a similar role, preferably in the same industry
β’ Bilingual is obligatory fluent in English and French
β’ Minimum age: 30 years
